About the event
The Association of Surgeons in Jamaica (ASJ) 67th Annual Scientific Symposium will take place on May 16–17, 2026 at the UWI Regional Headquarters, Mona, bringing together leading surgeons, trainees, and healthcare professionals for two days of academic exchange and professional development.
The symposium will feature a dynamic programme of oral scientific presentations, keynote lectures, panel discussions, and interactive Q&A sessions, covering a wide range of surgical topics – from paediatric trauma care and oncology to vascular surgery, orthopaedics, and surgical innovation.
Highlights include the American College of Surgeons Lecture, the 38th Annual Sir Harry Annamunthodo Memorial Lecture, and engaging themed sessions on mental health and medical ethics, alongside opportunities to explore exhibits and engage with industry partners.
This annual gathering provides a platform to showcase cutting-edge research, advances in surgical practice, and multidisciplinary collaboration, reinforcing the ASJ’s commitment to excellence in surgical care in Jamaica and the wider region.
